Meet our dedicated team of experienced educators
I have been working with EduVision on our English programs since 2022, and in my time here I have helped to teach and write courses for our Y4-Y8 students. Interdisciplinary work has always been my focus: at the University of Sydney, I studied English, Studies of Religion, and Film Studies, which formed the basis for my Honours thesis. During my time at university and after, I worked as a private tutor, before commencing at EduVision. I thoroughly enjoy each and every class I teach at EduVision. In particular, I get great joy out of working with such talented and diligent students, and nurturing their love for English and the wider world of the humanities. Our curriculum allows for great freedom of expression and open dialogue with students, and I am proud of the good work our centre does in helping our students reach their full potential!
I am currently studying a DPhil in English at Oxford University, focusing on modernist literature and twentieth-century education. At the University of Sydney, I completed my Master of Philosophy in English and a Bachelor of Arts (Philosophy, Honours I with University Medal) / Bachelor of Science (Computer Science). I have experience teaching primary to high school students in Maths, English, and Critical Thinking, and have tutored in Logic, Ethics, and English at the University of Sydney.
I am a primary school teacher and have been working at EduVision since 2022. I am also a NAPLAN marker and have an in-depth understanding of the NAPLAN writing task and marking rubric, as well as the processes and stages of writing development across all year groups. Having obtained my Bachelor in Primary Education in 2014, I have taught and managed classrooms in a variety of school settings across all stages and am very familiar with the progression of student learning across each stage. Prior to teaching, I provided counselling and coaching to children and adults, and have also previously worked in the residential sector providing individual care for children and adults with varying disabilities, and moderate to high support needs.
As a teacher, mentor and educator, I believe in a balanced approach to education – one that nurtures and supports and recognises that all children can learn when given the right tools in the right environment.
