I am the Head of Education at EduVision, responsible for ensuring high-quality teaching and resources with a focus on English. I began my career as a high school teacher in Singapore’s national Gifted Education Program and later held various roles in Australia – from VET administration to writing and managing ICAS literacy assessments. My varied experience has helped me develop a comprehensive skill set to continually improve our work at EduVision.

Philip Huang

I am the Head of Mathematics at EduVision. I graduated from UNSW with a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) and a Bachelor of Music, then completed a Master of Teaching at the University of Sydney. Before joining EduVision, I served as a Head Teacher at a high school in south-west Sydney and also taught piano privately. My passion lies in working with students from all backgrounds and watching them improve in both skills and confidence.

Julie Hartigan

Hello, I'm Julie Hartigan – BA (SYD), Dip Ed (SYD), MA TESOL (UTS). I'm delighted to be part of the EduVision team and share my passion for teaching English Literature. I have had an extensive career across secondary, vocational and tertiary education – including teaching ESL to migrants and refugees. I have specialised in the NSW Board of Studies English curriculum and the International Baccalaureate Diploma program. For the past 10 years, I have been an Academic Learning Advisor at UTS, supporting students with their academic English writing and speaking skills. Yet, I’m thrilled to return to teaching literature, my first love.

Terese Hope

I have over eight years' experience teaching English. I have taught students from years 3 to 12, including Advanced and Extension English for the HSC. Prior to my high school teaching career I worked in early childhood education. I am a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society for achieving in the top 15% percent of my Education degree. I am in the process of completing my Masters in Writing and Literature. I love writing stories and poetry and have a number of stories and poems published in small anthologies. I won the DUSA student award (Deakin University) for one of my short stories. My teaching highlights include training with Bell Shakespeare and Bangarra Dance Company. This is my third year of teaching for EduVision. I have taught English exclusively in both primary and high school levels as well as written programs for the poetry and creative writing courses. I particularly enjoy teaching poetry, Shakespeare and creative writing. My favourite part of teaching is the students. I love class discussions and enjoy hearing and reading young people’s thoughts and creative ideas.

Tu Nguyen

I have been working as a teacher at EduVision since 2023, and I have never stopped enjoying my time with the brilliant people here—the staff and the students! I graduated from the University of Technology Sydney with a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts and Secondary Education. I began my career teaching children with special needs and am now a specialist teacher for immigrant students.

With experience, I have become more flexible and adaptable, and I employ a variety of teaching styles to meet the diverse needs of my students. Many of them describe me as both strict and engaging—perhaps because I have taught students from all kinds of backgrounds: the fast, the slow, the unique, and the brilliant!

William Guthleben

I have been working with EduVision on our English programs since 2022, and in my time here I have helped to teach and write courses for our Y4-Y8 students. Interdisciplinary work has always been my focus: at the University of Sydney, I studied English, Studies of Religion, and Film Studies, which formed the basis for my Honours thesis. During my time at university and after, I worked as a private tutor, before commencing at EduVision. I thoroughly enjoy each and every class I teach at EduVision. In particular, I get great joy out of working with such talented and diligent students, and nurturing their love for English and the wider world of the humanities. Our curriculum allows for great freedom of expression and open dialogue with students, and I am proud of the good work our centre does in helping our students reach their full potential!

Michelle Gaddes

I am a teacher with a diverse educational background. I hold a B.A (University of Wollongong, 2005), M.A (Writing & Literature) (Deakin 2011) and M.A (Secondary Teaching 2022), and I am studying a TESOL graduate qualification at the Uni of Canberra. Since 2012, I have taught English, History, and Sociology at tertiary level, along with experience teaching primary and secondary students – both face-to-face and online. I love sharing knowledge and witnessing my students grow into confident, life-long learners.

Monica Keo

I am one of the English educators at EduVision, predominantly teaching Years 4–6. With experience in both formal education and the informal learning sector (including roles with KUMON Australia, Montessori, and the Australian National Maritime Museum), I bring a creative and facilitative approach to teaching. I hold a Bachelor of Arts (majors in Art History & Film Studies) and a Master of Art Curating from The University of Sydney and am currently furthering my studies in proofreading and editing to further guide my students in their writing skills.

Sydney Nicholas

I have been teaching at EduVision since 2022. I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Honours Class I) with a double major in English and History from the University of Sydney and a Graduate Diploma in Psychology from UNSW. Awarded the Sydney Scholars Award during my undergraduate years, I continue to pursue further studies and believe that a good teacher is also a life-long learner. I am passionate about instilling the fun and rewarding nature of education in my students.

Danny Luo

Hi everyone, I'm Danny. I've taught thinking skills and maths at EduVision for the past three years. A James Ruse graduate (2020) and now in my 4th year studying medicine at UNSW, I understand the challenges of preparing for selective exams. I take pride in mentoring my students and tailoring my teaching style to their individual needs.
