The MAA’s American Mathematics Competitions (MAA AMC) program leads the nation in strengthening the mathematical capabilities of the next generation of problem-solvers. The AMC 8 is a 25-question, 40-minute, multiple-choice examination in American high school mathematics designed to promote the development and enhancement of problem-solving skills.
Students in grade 8 or below and also under 15.5 years of age on the day of the competition are eligible to participate the test.
