AMC 10
Description:
The AMC 10 is a 25-question, 75-minute multiple-choice competition designed for students in grades 10 and below. The content covers mathematical topics such as elementary algebra, basic geometry, area and volume formulas, elementary number theory, and elementary probability. Advanced topics like trigonometry, advanced algebra, and advanced geometry are excluded.
Student Eligibility:
To participate in the AMC 10, a student must be in grade 10 or below and under 17.5 years of age on the day of the competition (14 Nov 2025).
AMC 12
Description:
The AMC 12 is a 25-question, 75-minute multiple-choice competition designed for students in grades 12 and below. It covers the full high school mathematics curriculum, including trigonometry, advanced algebra, and advanced geometry. Calculus is excluded.
Student Eligibility:
To participate in the AMC 12, a student must be in grade 12 or below and under 19.5 years of age on the day of the competition (14 Nov 2025).
Permitted Materials for Students in the AMC 10 & AMC 12 Exam:
Students can have during the competition are writing utensils, blank scratch paper, rulers, compasses, and erasers. NO CALCULATORS OR PHONES AND SIMILAR ELECTRONIC DEVICES OF ANY KIND ARE ALLOWED.
