From Term 3, our Year 4 Writing Course will cover both Creative and Persuasive Writing.
Writing:
A range of different narrative genres will be explored, including fantasy, science fiction, historical fiction, mystery, myths and more.
In addition to creative writing, a range of different persuasive text types will be explored, including discussions, feature articles, speeches, reviews and more.
Learn a range of writing techniques for different creative and persuasive text types.
Strong focus on mastering basic skills: spelling, grammar and punctuation.
Teachers will model careful planning and editing skills to lay the foundations needed for writing success in exams.
Homework:
Students will complete a weekly writing task for homework based on the work learned in class, which will be marked and corrected by the class teacher.
Vocabulary and skills revision: students revise the weekly vocabulary and skills taught in class, which will be tested with a revision Kahoot quiz every following week.
