Year 5 Intensive English
- All original materials and reading questions following the new Cambridge-style Selective test format
- Writing: one text type covered each lesson - narrative, newspaper report, persuasive, advice sheet, review
- Detailed feedback provided on each writing task
- Exemplary student responses to be shared and discussed the following day
- Intensive vocabulary enrichment, including an end-of-week competition
- Reading strategies explained for each text type: fiction, poetry, cloze passage, extracts
- An assessment, following the SS test format to be conducted on the final day
- Higher order thinking skills development
- Comprehensive homework, reinforcing the skills worked on during class
