This course provides practice tests to help students excel in the selective high school transfer exams which is applicable for both HAST and Edutest.
Face-to-Face Lesson Structure:
Students will sit five paper based tests every morning: Maths, Reasoning, Grammar and Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, and Writing. The class teacher will review the questions in the afternoon each day.
Online Lesson Structure:
Students will sit five computer based tests: Maths, Reasoning, Grammar and Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, and Writing. These are on the student's exam portal from 8am to 1:30pm. The class teacher will review the questions during the review session 1:30-5pm each day.
Test Review:
In the afternoon session, teachers will review the test papers and provide students with strategies and tips to analyse the question and work out the answers.
Students can retry the questions that they answered incorrectly for the Mathematical Reasoning and Thinking Skills tests. Written solutions are provided for those questions. This feature is available for 50 days after each test.
One writing exemplar will be provided for each writing test.
Test Paper Policy:
To maintain the integrity of the trial tests, students are not allowed to take the test papers home.
Test Scores and Ranking Reports:
We understand the importance of timely feedback. Test scores and ranking reports will be made available on students' exam portal. These reports will help students to gauge their performance.
Students can retry the questions that they answered incorrectly for the Maths and Reasoning tests.
Lunch Arrangements for Face-to-Face Class:
We will provide a daily light lunch during the course. However, if a student has any food allergies or specific dietary requirements, we kindly request that they bring their own lunch.
