This course will help your child understand the features of persuasive writing and how to include them in their writing. They will learn how to write an introduction and conclusion and how to use persuasive devices and techniques to strengthen their text. They will also learn how to write different text types that the persuasive genre appears in, such as formal letters, expositions and speeches. They will also learn about the type of grammar that is specific to persuasive writing, such as modality and connectives.
Students who intend to participate in ICAS will learn the writing skills that are needed to succeed.
