This course is made to help Y9/10 students prepare for the Big Science Competition which is an online competition that tests science knowledge, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. The topics covered in this course follow the Australian Stage 5 Curriculum:
- Energy
- Disease
- Materials
- Environmental sustainability
- Genetics and evolutionary change
- Reactions
- Waves and motion
- Data science
In class, students will practise mock exam questions that focus on areas in physics, chemistry, biology and earth sciences.
Big Science Past Papers are given as homework for lessons 1-4. Each past paper will be reviewed the following day.
