This course provides enrichment for reading and writing skills. Each lesson focuses on a particular aspect of writing, including poetry, and integrates reading and writing activities in order to develop higher order thinking skills. Vocabulary and grammar activities provide a strong foundation for more complex reading and writing tasks. Students have to complete an in-class writing task on days 1-4. Homework is provided to allow students an opportunity to independently apply the concepts and skills taught in class. There is no homework on day 5.
This course is suitable for students who are preparing for scholarship tests.
