This course focusses on two subsections of the Reading section of the Selective High Schools Placement Test: poetry and cloze passage.
* Skill-based comprehension strategies to increase confidence in tackling these subsections
* A range of poems of different forms, from a variety of poets
* Questions assessing different forms of cloze
* Focus on metacognition and higher-order thinking.
This course is the same as the 2025 Spring holiday "Selective Poetry and Cloze Passage" course.
