Year 4 OC Preparation

This course is designed to help students develop a strong foundation for the different sections of the OC Placement Test. Students will spend about a-third of each lesson on each section (Reading Comprehension, Thinking Skills, and Mathematical Reasoning).

* Practice on each of the five parts of the Reading Comprehension section:

*Enhance reading skills in narrative and poetry
*Build the foundations for mastering the cloze, including the new word fill-in-the-blank, and linked extracts sub-sections

* Introduce typical Thinking Skills questions by topic and teach strategies for answering those questions

* Build Mathematical Reasoning skills by topic and help students to employ those skills in answering those questions

* Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills

* A video review of all homework questions is provided.

Teaching Plan
Homework tasks are self-marked. There is no homework in week 10.
