This course aims to enable students to develop fluency and techniques in Quadratic Functions which are essential for success in Stage 5 and Stage 6 Mathematics. The outline for the 5 day course is as follows:
Day 1 – Review on Binomials, Algebraic fractions and Completing the square
Day 2 – Solving Quadratic Equations
Day 3 – Graphs of Quadratic Functions
Day 4 – Equations reducible to quadratics, Problem Solving involving minima and maxima, Discriminants
Day 5 - Test and Problem Solving
Students will also be given homework daily to consolidate understanding and develop fluency.
