Essay writing is a defining skill for a student’s high school humanities education. Across a range of subjects, students are expected to express their understanding in the form of a sustained and organised argument, which unifies evidence and analysis. This course will help students with their argument structure, and teach research skills and the use of appropriate language, tone and point of view. Students will write in class, and their work will be marked and returned the next day.
This course was last offered in the summer holidays. Students who completed the essay writing course in the autumn holidays can enrol in this course. Set A teaches the skills in a different way and uses different examples.
