Year 3 and 4 Students – Sharp Short Stories with Fun and Fabulous Characters and Plots that Make Sense!
Over three sessions, students will explore the following key components of creative writing and in turn write their own exciting short stories.
· Finding great ideas
· Using writing prompts
· Creating interesting and memorable characters
· Plotting and planning a story and learning why you must make trouble!
· Focusing on beginnings and endings – getting the reader’s attention from the start and leaving them wanting more at the end
· Using language effectively
· Editing
In the course Jacqueline will use a range of texts to identify excellence in creative writing and the methods that published authors employ to create their works.
