Year 4 English for OC

Course description

This course is tailored to prepare students for OC-style questions. Students will engage in a comprehensive exploration of texts, emphasising reading comprehension, critical thinking, and effective communication. The curriculum integrates diverse literary genres to provide a dynamic and enriching learning experience. Students do not practise writing in this course.
Note: The OC Placement Test will be held at the beginning of Term 2.

Course objectives

  • Apply advanced reading comprehension strategies to interpret and analyse diverse texts independently.
  • Develop critical thinking skills through literary analysis, inference, and interpretation of texts.
