In Year 10 Accelerated Mathematics, the topics we will be covering in Term 1 include:
- Methods in Algebra
- Numbers and surds
- Functions and graphs
- Inequalities
- Permutations and combinations
- The binomial expansion and Pascal’s triangle
In this mathematics course, the aim is for students to cover the Year 11 Advanced and Extension 1 course a year
ahead of school.
Students will be completing a 30 minute written test in week 3 and 6 with feedback returned to students in week 4 and 7. Students will also be completing a final written 1-hour examination in week 9.
Weekly homework submission is required for all students. Face-to-face class students must submit their homework to their class teacher, while online students are required to upload a PDF version online. The class teacher will mark the homework and return it.
