Essay writing is a defining skill for a student’s high school humanities education. Across a range of subjects, students are expected to express their understanding in the form of a sustained and organised argument, which unifies evidence and analysis. This course will help students with their argument structure, and teach research skills and the use of appropriate language, tone and point of view. Students will write in class, and their work will be marked and returned the next day.
New materials: Students who completed the essay writing course last year or in summer can enrol in this course.
